Hi, I am new to EasyWebTutorials.com.
I just setup a new WordPress Blog.
I am using WP2.5 and Adsense Manager.
After insert the code in my post.
It show the ads normal in single page but it show me such code "[ad#it_468x60_banner]" in home page.
Is that I need to modify any settings?

Share Video - when you include the AdSense code directly into your theme, the same ad block will appear on all pages that use the template file with your AdSense code. Also, you can´t display ads within posts by putting the code into your template files.

AdSense Deluxe gives you the option to place different AdSense ad blocks <b>inside</b> your blog posts.

Thanks for the info. Wondering if there is any difference between adding the Adsense in the theme or using Adsense deluxe?

Wes,
first of all, to use the AdSense-Deluxe plugin, make sure you have the rich editor disabled (see comment #2). The comments to insert adsense blocks should look like this inside the editor´s textarea:
<!--adsense-->
<!--adsense#name-->
without any spaces.
Also, are you using the same version of WP on both sites ? I visited your site dumbguide.com and couldn´t find any Google Ads - where are they supposed to be ?

Finally, have you tried to paste the javascript code for AdSense directly into a blog post or inside a theme template ? If it displays the ads, then the problem is most likely with the plugin.

I have a related question. My site uses Wordpress and I just installed adsense-deluxe. The ads show up in the code as HTML comments (green text) and do not display in Firefox. However, I noticed they appear broken, but do display a little in IE 6. I have another Wordpress site that shows the ads fine and in the code, the ad blocks appear as black text. The site that is not working does have all ads enabled, does not have rich text on, and has had adsense in the code for several days. Any ideas would be appreciated. My page with the code example is http://www.dumbguide.com/dumb-criminals/dumb-criminal/

Hi Debbie.
Re your adsense not showing up, when you first put your adsense ads on any site, blogs or webpages, google will take a while to index your page to the correct information that it is going to show in its ads, so as you have seen you have to be a little patient.

May I also point out that if you are using word press or any other software that uses a database, you risk losing all your hard work if you have have a database failure or a server crash, and you have not backed up your database.

belive me I know from bitter experience, so much so that I produced a way to automatically backup all my databases.

hope this info helps

Hi Guido, yes they are showing up now. I don't understand what the problem was, because they didn't show up all last evening, when I inserted them. hmm
Thank you so much for taking time to visit my site, to determine the problem. Have a good day!

Debbie Gragg

I took a look at your blog and I can see the AdSense ads in your blog posts without any green box, so I can´t say what was going wrong.

When using the AdSense Deluxe plugin, you should have the rich editor disabled ( uncheck the box in Users > Your Profile > Personal Options )

Hi Guido, I am a subscriber to your newsletter and an active user of the Blogging Tutorial. You made Wordpress easy to understand and install with that tutorial.

My question is, why when I insert Ad$ense-Deluxe Code into my post, it shows up as a green box, with the code in it?, even when I click save and continue editing, so I can see the preview area, it still has the green box, instead of an ad block, and nothing shows up on my blog, when I save the post. I have the correct version of Wordpress and the plugin is installed in it's proper folder on my server, so I can't think why it isn't working right.
